Well-Received First Generation, Now Fully Upgraded

The first generation of the Teana speaker cable had a strong track record in the market.
Its rich mid-to-low frequency, solid drum impact, and captivating, full-bodied vocal performance won over many audiophiles.

U-Audio Report: So Good, It Drew Attention from Upstairs

MPSOURCE Teana MK2 Speaker Cable
So good, even colleagues upstairs came down to check it out.

According to the manufacturer, Chi Wei Sheng, the Teana MK2 speaker cable offers at least a 40% improvement in sound performance compared to the previous generation. While sonic impressions can be difficult to quantify, the Teana MK2’s quality is unmistakable. During testing at the U-Audio listening room, the cable was paired with Capriccio Continuo Admonitor Preference speakers and Submonitor MK3 bass columns. The sound was so striking that colleagues working upstairs came down to ask about the music—saying they could feel how good it was from above.

So what makes the Teana MK2 sound so good?
In short: natural tone, vivid texture, smooth and non-fatiguing highs, wide soundstage, clear layering, transparent imaging, rich detail, and three-dimensional soundstage.

Solid Violin Tone, Convincing Musical Tension

I haven’t listened to the first-generation Teana, so I can't make a direct comparison.
According to the manufacturer, the biggest improvements in the MK2 are in bass resolution and control over large-scale passages.

I used two orchestral tracks to verify this claim.
The first is Zigeunerweisen by Sarasate, performed by Anne-Sophie Mutter. The piece opens with powerful orchestral tension before transitioning to a solo violin, while the orchestra listens in the background, like an audience to a storyteller. Mutter’s precise and passionate playing—her vibrato, high-position pianissimo, smooth glides, spiccato, pizzicato—all come through with dramatic clarity.

The Teana MK2 delivers a focused and weighty violin tone, with healthy body and natural color. The sound is rich with emotion but never harsh. Especially in the solo’s final moments, where the sound tapers to a whisper, the sorrowful beauty is fully captured.

As the orchestra returns with intensity, joining the violin as it surges from stillness into movement, the performance becomes thrilling. The interplay between solo and orchestral violins expresses not just the sorrow of the gypsy theme, but also its joy.

The Teana MK2 handles these dynamic contrasts with ease and authority—a persuasive showcase of its capabilities.

Upgraded for 2024: More Detail, More Control

The first-generation Teana speaker cable was already well-regarded, offering rich mids and lows, solid rhythmic drive, and warm, immersive vocals.

In 2024, we improved upon that foundation—enhancing bass layering, increasing dimensionality in the mid and high frequencies, and introducing new technologies like Unified Directionality and Resonance Coordination. Compared to the previous version, the overall performance of the Teana MK2 has improved by over 40%.

The new Teana MK2 handles complex passages with greater stability and ease. Whether it's the bowing texture of a cello, the punch and detail of jazz drums, or the nuance of various vocal recordings, it delivers impressive performance across the board.

With the Teana MK2, you can enjoy vivid, expressive music right in your own home.
